DATES of MAX2: October Half Term 2010

At last something for the older kids! If you and the rest of your band want to take it to the next level, then this is for you.

KEY FEATURES: read carefully

FSOR MAX costs £165 per member

MAX bands will be bands who have played together, done FSOR together, or organised their own rehearsals independently (bands members are preferably, but not always over 13 or Year 9, up to the age of 18)
MAX rehearsals will take place with senior tutors during existing FSORs but they will do a separate, longer, public gig
MAX bands will have their own gig, playing a longer set to an older audience with a range of other bands
MAX bands do a live, 24 track studio single recording

MAX bands must apply individually under their band name

MAX bands will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Places are limited

FSOR MAX will cost the same as FSOR ie Feb is £165

If you want to do this course, the first thing you need to do it to contact all of the others in your band and get an agreement that you all can and want to do it. Next you all need your parents’ agreement TO PAY FOR IT. It costs £165 each. So you will need to demonstrate to them that this is really important to your band.

If you are not in a band but want to be you can join THE MAX POOL which is like a waiting list to join a MAX band.  Email felix on felix@fsor.org.uk and he will try and get you into one of the MAX bands.

On the other hand, if you are you are a dedicated and hardworking teenage musician who either sings, plays guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, brass or strings, and you want to join a gigging, recording, happening local band, then join the MAX POOL by emailing Felix.
